I can name most all of the kids’ pictures although I may never have spoken to them The one picture I believe to be in the wrong class year. The picture is of Larry Guthrie who would have graduated in 1962.
Also, I have a pretty good memory and I was certain that somewhere back in 2009.2010 or whenever, Larry Cates was mentioned as having sent in some pictures of Glenwood School. Am I wrong?

I don’t remember anything from Larry Cates but would love to have some pictures from him. You are probably right about Larry Guthrie. Which ones do you not know, we might be able to supply names.

Shortly after the reunion I E-mailed Allen Lewis, and the other organizers via him, my thanks for the wonderful reunion. I’m not sure the e-mail went through, though, since my address for him may be outdated. Nice going, all, anyway!
It sounds as if the organizing committee had as much fun meeting and planning as we had at the actual reunion. If I were local, I would have certainly joined them.
I, too, was thrilled to see so many in attendance. My only regrets are that time didn’t allow talking to as many as I would have liked.
I told Allen that I remembered Mike Cannon in grade school for his jaw-droppingly beautiful tenor voice. Allen said it has become an equally stunning bass. Any way, thanks to Mike, Allen, and all of you for the great work.

I am sure I speak for all committee members . We did not consider it to be work . We had a alot of fun putting it together .
I do want to give special thanks to our secret benefactor that
treated all of us to a great dinner at the Country Club .
Also , we all owe a big THANK YOU to Shirley Siebers .
She was the committee`s secret weapon . We would have
never reached so many grads without her . Single handed
she took our ” can`t find list ” to under 15 people . And she is not
done . I bet she finds everyone of them . you can`t hide from
Shirley .
THANKS A BUNCH SHIRLEY !!!!!!!

I fully agree! I have told people of how many missing people we have and they are astounded when they learn of the size of our class. Great work Shirley.

Thanks to both of you for your comments. From the beginning, our project was engaging and rewarding to be able to bring our classmates together and learn more about them. This is an ongoing project of keeping our files updated and continuing to search for the missing, and has always been a TEAM effort! A special thanks to Tad for starting this website and maintaining it. Also to Mike, our news editor, for his continuous work in starting and maintaining our large data base and his work with newletters and other notifications. We can only hope that our classmates recognize the need to report any changes in address, phone number, and email, if we are to keep our lists up to date. Much thanks to Chuck and his committee for their planning our very successful 50th reunion It is a pleasure to work with all of you! Our Bosse’61 Committee Members included:

Thanks to Mike and all who worked so hard to give the rest of us a great 50th reunion…wish I could have able to come to the evening events. It was good to see everyone again and get totally turned around in the remodeled school. Blessings to all.

I agree, great reunion. We may be the only two who discuss this on the Blog however.

YES! the reunion was fantastic. Linda and I loved greeting and getting reacquainted with ole/old friends. Both Friday and Saturday nights were delightful. Can’t remember when I enjoyed such a party. We now realize how much we miss our friends who live away as well as live here in Evansville. Hats off to the organizers and those that made it happen. Stan & Linda (Branaman) Wilson

Stan, said very well. It was awesome seeing so many classmates and especially reconnecting with you after so many years and sharing lots of memories. Cindy and I enjoyed getting to know Linda. You have my email and I look forward to communicating a bit as time rolls on. Jim

A Christmas wish to you all. Can you imagine 50 years since the Bosse days. Where did time go? We are lucky to have been born at the right time. Life was not quite so complicated. Can you imagine Jingle Bells in Rapp? A Santa that comes by Email? Can you imagine how we survived without video games? Can you imagine a coke at Hamiltons and direct conversation with real people. Hang on to your memories 61.

Pat, I agree, it was a wonderful time and it was created by the wonderful adults in our community. I think it was a very unique time in our history to grow up. Thanks for the note.

Linda and I had a delightful time sharing Thanksgiving dinner at Amelia Island, FL, with Carol (Barger) Cole and her lovely family. One of Carol’s daughters, Michele, is building a home in Fernandina Beach, FL. And, yes, Carol’s daughters and granddaughters are as beautiful as Carol. Those strong genes are dominant.
Linda and I also had a wonderful visit from Barbara (Brown) McClure recently. Both of these reunions are a result of this website and the Facebook connection. Keep the threads going.

Thanks Stan, I think we all have had a lot of fun with it. Hopefully, it will all lead to a great 50th Reunion.

Hey Tad,
You should be up in N.W. this summer. Biggest Sockeye run in
a Century so says the News folks! I’m spending my 8th Summer
in Squamish and finally made it down to the Olympic NP for some
hiking. I think I’ll have some sockeye for dinner tonight.

Jim, I would love to visit that area and this time of year it is great. I am envious of you being there every year. In all the year’s Dave Engish and I went fishing there, we never hit the “big one.” It was always last week or would start next week but we had a great time anyway. Boating around that area is so unique. We spent a week one year at a place called Rivers Inlet in Canada along the sound. The inlet was a spawing area for sockey and while we were there we saw quite a few coming into the spawning areas. At one time there was a canning factory on the sound that would scoop up the sockeye and can them. They got so efficient that the factory finally closed because of lack of fish.
I have been through the park a few times and was overcome by the pristine wilderness. The vegetation is so unique that it made a lot of it look like a prehistoric paradise. Did you camp any?
